Mr. Adrian David Li Man-kiu, BBS, JP

Mr. Adrian David Li Man-kiu, BBS, JP, aged 50, an Independent Non-Executive Director since April 2005, is Co-Chief Executive of The Bank of East Asia, Limited. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Tsim Sha Tsui Properties Limited. Mr. Li is a member of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and a Counsellor of the Hong Kong United Youth Association. He is Chairman of The Chinese Banks’ Association, Deputy Chairman of The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers’ Executive Committee and Vice President of its Council, and a member of the MPF Industry Schemes Committee of the MPFA. He is a Vice Patron of The Community Chest of Hong Kong, a member of the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army, Hong Kong and Macau Territory, and a Trustee of The University of Hong Kong’s occupational retirement schemes. Furthermore, he serves as a member of the Election Committees responsible for electing the Chief Executive and Legislative Council members of the HKSAR as well as deputies of the HKSAR to the 14th National People’s Congress. Mr. Li is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited, which is listed in Hong Kong. He previously served as a Non-Executive Director of The Berkeley Group Holdings plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, and an Independent Non-Executive Director of China State Construction International Holdings Limited, which is listed in Hong Kong. Mr. Li holds a Master of Management degree from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in the US, and a Master of Arts degree and Bachelor of Arts degree in Law from the University of Cambridge in Britain. He is a member of The Law Society of England and Wales, and The Law Society of Hong Kong. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance and has been conferred as an Honorary Certified Banker by The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers. Mr. Li was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Government of the HKSAR in 2022 in recognition of his contributions to the community.
