26-03-2018

Projects, Teams and Individuals of Sino Group Honoured for Commitment to Quality Excellence

Corinthia By The Sea, developed and managed by Sino Group, has been conferred the ‘Building of the Year’ at the Hong Kong Professional Building Inspectors Academy Awards 2017 in addition to winning the ‘Five-star Residence’, ‘Best Quality Control Team’ and ‘Best Customer Services’ categories.  Meanwhile, Lee Tung Avenue has been named a ‘Five-star Shopping Mall’; Best Result Environmental Services Limited, the environmental services arm of Sino Property Services, has been honoured as a Quality Sub-contractor in the cleaning category.  Mr K K Lung and Mr K S Chu, of Development Division and Sino Security Services Limited respectively, received the ‘Spirit of the Year’ award for their professionalism and dedication.

Corinthia By The Sea has been selected as the ‘Building of the Year’ among more than 40 projects completed in 2017 through a rigorous and comprehensive assessment framework covering a wide spectrum of aspects, including building workmanship, material selection and quality control. Situated on the waterfront of Tseung Kwan O South with excellent connectivity, Corinthia By The Sea is complete with lush landscaped garden inspired by Villa d’Este and Club Corinthia; a dedicated smartphone app has also been developed to facilitate smart and convenient living.

‘Five-star Shopping Mall’, introduced for the first time this year, not only assesses the building quality but also a range of criteria encompassing accessibility, management services as well as connection with the community.  Lee Tung Avenue won this category with its attentive services as well as efforts in engaging the community.

Inaugurated in 2013 by respected building inspector Mr C N Tsim and other senior practitioners of the construction industry, Hong Kong Professional Building Inspectors Academy Awards is the only award of its kind in Hong Kong that recognises building excellence, raising the quality of construction and fitting-out.

‘We are honoured to receive the coveted recognitions from BIA, which recognise our efforts in every stage of the development, from careful planning to attentive services upon delivery of the project to engaging the community.  We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the BIA for the recognitions, and our valued customers for their support.  We shall work even harder to deliver more quality projects,’ remarks Mr Gordon Lee, Executive Director of Sino Group.
