Sino Group and Sino Property Services awarded 5 Years Plus Caring Company Logo
Pilot rooftop garden at commercial building "Mission Green Top" receives Outstanding Partnership Project award

(26/03/2010, Hong Kong)  Sino Group and its subsidiary Sino Group Property Services (SPS) was awarded the 5 Years Plus Caring Company Logo by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service yesterday, recognising the Group's contributions to the community. Sino Security Services Limited, Sino Parking Services Limited, Best Result Cleaning Services Limited, City Garden Hotel, Tuen Mun Town Plaza, China Hong Kong City, and Regentville property management company were also awarded the Caring Company Logo for 2009/2010. A total of 12 charitable organisations nominated Sino Group, who has received this award for seven consecutive years – the eighth year for SPS. 'Mission Green Top', the rooftop garden developed atop a commercial building by SPS and Hong Chi Pinehill Integrated Vocational Training Centre (Pinehill) received the Outstanding Partnership Project Award. Launched in 2009, the rooftop garden on Sino Group's Skyline Tower comprises around 100 pot plants, 30 large plants, plus various organic vegetables. Pinehill trainees and tutors maintain the plants and vegetables, and tenants of the building are encouraged to join the gardening. The project promotes the greening of the building and builds an inclusive society between the able and disabled. Sino Group actively participates in various community initiatives, volunteer services and green projects. Sino Group's "Art in Hong Kong" programme was established in 2006 to promote local art development, provide venues for local artists to exhibit their works and communicate with the public, and bring art into daily life. To date more than 90 exhibits and art events have been held under this initiative. ~End~
